Continuing Medical Education
Medical information is rapidly expanding, and standards are in a constant state of change. Without a substantial effort, a physician’s knowledge will rapidly become outdated. This is an even greater problem in a small rural town where educational conferences are non-existent and there is no opportunity to share ideas with colleagues.
The State Board of Medicine requires 50 hours of continuing education yearly to maintain a medical license. There is a limited requirement for relevant content.
To keep abreast of developments in medical knowledge, I have consistently recorded over 100 hours of structured continuing education yearly since leaving the intellectually stimulating atmosphere of my former practice in Ohio. Additionally, I have engaged in hundreds of hours of unstructured continuing educational activities such as journal reading and daily online updates.
Maintenance of high intellectual standards is a critical part of our urology practice.
This page lists some of my recent Continuing Medical Education courses.
